Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team. As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on various IT-related topics, emerging technologies, market trends, and competitive landscape.

You will gather and analyse data, compile reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and innovation within the organisation. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for technology, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate research findings.

Responsibilities:-

  • Conduct comprehensive research on IT-related topics, technologies, and trends, utilising various sources such as industry reports, white papers, academic publications, and online resources.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in IT and emerging technologies to provide insights on potential business opportunities and risks.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations relevant to the organisation’s IT strategy.
  • Prepare detailed reports, summaries, and presentations of research findings, including actionable recommendations for management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide research support and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and analyse the competitive landscape, identifying key competitors, their offerings, and market positioning.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of technology solutions, conducting feasibility studies and assessing potential risks and benefits.
  • Support the development and maintenance of knowledge repositories, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Following a strict code of ethics and protecting any confidential information at all times.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Research, Social Sciences, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant research experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience in conducting research, market analysis, or competitive intelligence.
  • Strong understanding of IT industry trends, emerging technologies, and their potential impact on businesses is a plus.
  • Proficient in utilising research methodologies, data analysis tools, and information gathering techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and interpret large volumes of data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and tools.
